Well known author Daphne Du Maurier said it best when she wrote “If only there could be an invention, that bottled up a memory, like scent…And then, when one wanted it, the bottle could be uncorked, and it would be like living the moment all over again.”
For me, that is the essence and power of a photograph. The lens doesn’t just take images, it can capture beauty in the seemingly mundane and make poetry in the ordinary.
Living here on the Outer Banks for over 24 years, I began my journey into the world of professional photography not long after I moved here.
